WORK TITLE: Roof Replacement and Related Work at the Municipal Building 3. WORK SITE: Municipal Building, 401 Chambers Bridge Road, Brick, NJ 4. WORK DESCRIPTION: The work in this project includes removal of the existing roof system and installation of a new roof system, as outlined in the Contract Documents. Also included in the scope is removal and reinstallation of the existing photovoltaic system to accommodate replacement of the roof system. 5. Cash is accepted and all checks are to be made out to the "Township of Brick." Credit card payments are acceptable in-person only. No refunds will be made. 7. USE OF CONTRACT DOCUMENTS: Contract Documents are available solely for the purpose of obtaining Bids and not to confer a license or grant for any other purpose. 8. SITE-VISIT: All bidders are strongly encouraged to inspect the work site during the bidding period, prior to submitting bid. Bidders may schedule site visits by appointment only during normal working hours (7:00 AM 3:00 PM) Monday through Friday. To schedule inspection time, contact John Lolla at (732) 644-5081. 9. PRE-BID MEETING: There will be a pre-bid meeting and project walk-thru on Friday, April 9, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Municipal Building Court Room, 401 Chambers Bridge Road, Brick, NJ. All bidders are strongly urged to attend this meeting. Minutes generated from this meeting will become part of the Contract Documents. 10. BID GUARANTEE: Bid Guarantee is required in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount indicated in the Bid, but not in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00). 11. CONSENT OF SURETY: A certificate is required from a surety company stating that it will provide bonds in the form and amounts as stated in the Contract Documents. 12. SUBMISSION OF BIDS: Bids shall be placed in sealed envelopes and must be received by Owner prior to the Date and Time indicated for Public Bid Opening and Reading in Paragraph #13. No Bids will be received after the indicated Date and Time. Bidders may either: (a) Mail Bids to: Township of Brick 401 Chambers Bridge Road Brick, NJ 08723 Attn: Township Clerk or (b) hand deliver Bids to Owner at the Place indicated for Public Bid Opening and Reading in Paragraph #13. 13. PUBLIC BID OPENING AND READING: Date: Friday, April 23, 2021 Time: 11:00 AM Location: Township of Brick 401 Chambers Bridge Road Brick, NJ 08723 14. STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS: Bidders are required to comply with all applicable Laws and Regulations including the N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., and N.J.A.C. 17:27 (Affirmative Action) P.L. 1999, C.238 (Public Works Contractor Registration), P.L. 1963, C.150 (Prevailing Wages), P.L. 2004, C.57, and P.L. 2009, C.315 (New Jersey Business Registration Requirements). 15. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: During the performance of this contract the Contractor agrees to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c. 127 (N.J.A.C. 17:27), all require-ments of the State of New Jersey Worker Health and Safety Act (N.J.A.C. 12:110 et seq.) as amended and the United States Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) (29 CFR 1910), as amended with regard to worker and jobsite safety. 16. OWNER'S RIGHTS: The Township reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities specified in the manner designated in the Specifications. The Township reserves the right to award this contract based on funds available. 17. BID WITHDRAWAL: The Bidder shall comply with the statutory requirements set forth in N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.3 regarding bid withdrawal. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a surety company bond in the full amount of the contract price indemnifying the Township of Brick, New Jersey for all proceed-ings, suits or actions of any kind of description and conditional for the faithful perform-ance of the work. 18. REJECTION OF BIDS: Owner reserves the right to reject all Bids and to waive any immaterial defect or informality in any Bid, if deemed in the best interest of the Owner. THIS BID IS BEING ISSUED BY ORDER OF MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWNSHIP OF BRICK ($151.20)
