Separate sealed Bids for the supply and installation of various small water and wastewater projects will be received by the Town of Whitmire at 16 Main Street, Whitmire SC until 2:00 PM local time on December 7, 2021 at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud. The Project will consist of three (3) divisions of work: Procurement Division I - Water Treatment Plant (WTP) includes one schedules of work. Division I-Schedule A will receive bids from a qualified general contractor with SC license classification of WP. Services will generally involve the replacement of basin mud valves, a level transmitter, and a SCADA RTU capable of data logging, turbidimeters and controllers, and replacing butterfly valves with electric actuators. Procurement Division II - Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) includes one-unit price base bid and two-unit price alternate bids. Division II-Schedule B will receive bids from a qualified general contractor with SC license classification of WP to replace existing surface aerators and install decant plug valves at the WWTP. Division II-Schedule C-ALTERNATE #1 will providing equipment, materials, and services as specified for cleaning and rehabilitation of up to two existing 35' diameter clarifiers. Division II- ALTERNATE #2 will provide new liquid disinfection facilities for the WWTP. The contractor will provide a base bid and a bid for the two alternatives. Procurement Division III - Calhoun Street Water Line Replacement will receive bids from a contractor with SC license classification of WL. Division III work shall generally involve the installation of one connection to an existing 8" water line, approximately 1253 LF of 2" HDPE water line, the relocation of approximately 15 residential service connections, abandonment of existing 2" water line, one 3/4 " blow-off, and other associated tasks. All bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Interested parties may bid on one or more divisions of work for which they are qualified. Contractors submitting bids shall be properly licensed in the State of South Carolina to bid and perform the work on which the bid is submitted at the date of the bid.
