The estimated cost range for the project is $1,000,000 - $1,500,000. Conewago Township will receive bids for the Mill Road Bridge Replacement Project. Clarification Deadline 4/26/2021 12:00 PM A certified check or bid bond for the amount of 10% of the total bid shall be required. Bonds are to be issued by a surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. This project is subject to the Prevailing Wage Act requirements. Bidders must be PennDOT prequalified as specified in Section 102.01 and Section 102.06 (c) of Publication 408 for Work Class Code S1. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price. The successful Bidder shall substantially complete the project within 150 calendar days from the notice to proceed date for onsite construction and the project shall be fully completed and ready for final payment within 165 calendar days from the notice to proceed date for onsite construction. It is anticipated the notice to proceed for onsite work will be given by the end of June 2021. Conewago Township reserves the right to accept any bid or reject any or all bids. The Township expressly reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids and may re-advertise if the best interests of the Township are to be hereby promoted. The Township may waive technical defects if, in its judgment, the best interests of the Township shall so require. No bid may be considered from any person, firm or corporation who has defaulted in the performance of any contract or agreement previously made with the Township or conclusively shown to have failed to perform satisfactorily such contract or agreement with the Township.
