Renovation of a library in Apex, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.
**As of July 1, 2021, this project has been awarded to Superior Mechanical Services for the base bid and Alternate #2 for the total amount of $318,500.00. Replacement of existing main mechanical equipment including the air-cooled chiller, boiler, and associated pumps. Work shall also include associated piping replacement, controls, and electrical power to the new equipment. The plan deposit will be returned to Contractors submitting bids provided all documents are returned in good condition within ten (10) days after the bid date. The plan deposit will be returned to Contractors not submitting bids provided all documents are returned in good condition at least five (5) days prior to the bid date. Wake County provides minorities and women equal opportunity to participate in all aspects of its construction program consistent with NCGS 143-8. Bidders shall comply with the requirements of the Wake County Minority Business Enterprise Program, as outlined in section 00500 "Minority Business Enterprise Participation in Wake County Building Construction and Repair Contracts" of the Project Manual. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for bids. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
