As of April 14, 2022, an engineer has been selected and this project is in the design phase. A firm timeline for construction has not been determined. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The City of Park Ridge is looking to replace existing the 6” water main located on S. Hamlin Ave. from W. Talcott Rd. to Albion Ave. with a new 8” water Main and transfer services on Vine Ave. from W. Talcott Rd. to Granville Ave. from the existing 6” main to the existing 10” main. A location map of these projects is attached to this proposal. The Scope of Work shall include, but is not limited to the following tasks: 1. Topographic Survey The Consultant shall perform field data collection. Provide all field survey and topographic work necessary to complete the design effort. Design level survey and base mapping of the project site shall be prepared in US Customary English units by an Illinois licensed Land Surveyor. Research existing records of utility companies and agencies and coordinate the proposed improvements with existing field conditions. Including relocation of any Involved Utility facilities (Vaults, or underground structures that may be in conflict). 2. Soil Investigation The consultant should determine if soil investigation is required to provide accurate and detailed plans for construction. 3. Preliminary Design Review available record plans, existing/proposed conditions and requirements. Conduct a field survey in order to confirm the accuracy of any existing drawings, surveys, streets, utility locations and other data obtained. Consultant is expected to conduct additional surveys based on the project requirements. 4. Development of Detail Plans, Specifications and Estimate (PS&E) All reports, plans, specifications and quantity calculations shall conform to criteria, policies, procedures and standards of the City of Park Ridge, requirements of the Illinois Department of Transportation “Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction,” Adopted January 1, 2016, the “Supplemental Specifications and Recurring Special Provisions,” adopted January 1, 2021, the latest edition of “Standard Specifications for Water and Sewer Construction in Illinois”, the “Standard Specifications for Traffic Control Questions Due In Writing to Procurement E-mail. bflowers@parkridge.us APR 19, 2021 4:30pm As of April 19, 2021 this project is accepting proposals.
