Renovation of a mixed-use development in Petitcodiac, New Brunswick. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The work under this Contract includes, but is not limited to the following: The Welding Shop is to include 6 welding booths c/w welding fume extractions articulating arms, a fume capture grinding table, and a fume capture plasma welding table. Welding fumes will be extracted via a single high pressure exhaust system c/w spark arrestor, muffler, and rooftop utility fan. Make-up air for the exhaust system will be provided via an acoustic transfer duct drawing air from the large volume cafeteria space directly adjacent. Removal and re-distribution of ventilation trunk from AHU-2 serving existing space. A dedicated ERV system will be provided for the welding shop to provide general ventilation. Shop fit-up will include new interior entry vestibule, new exterior double man-door with sidelights. Fit-up will include new handwash sink and eyewash station. Electrical work will include power (including keyed switch for all receptacles, welders and equipment), lighting (including lighting over all welding stations). Building automation controls to be provided (add-on extension of existing facility BAS system). Fire alarm, devices, perimeter heat and misc. will be modified to suit the fit-up accordingly. Sprinkler will be modified to suit the new work. Structural reinforcement to be provided for. Architectural fit-up, including man-doors & masonry. Architectural repairs and infill, interior partitions, welding booths and curtains, flooring, trim, painting, etc.. Contractors are reminded that they must receive tender documents for bidding purposes from the office of Construction Tendering - Buildings (Division), Department of Transportation and Infrastructure, Fredericton NB, 506-453-2706. Only those tenders submitted by bidders listed as having received tender documents from the Central Tendering - Buildings Division office shall be considered. Award subject to final approval.
