Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Clifford Twp, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; and playground / park / athletic field.

Clarification Deadline- 5/4/2021 4:00 PM Contractor shall construct a 70'-0" span pedestrian bridge in Clifford Township Park to cross the East Branch of Tunkhannock Creek. Clifford Township has prepurchased a prefabricated steel truss bridge that the Contractor shall install. Contractor shall: Prepare the site for bridge placement by installing erosion control measures and a temporary stream crossing. Excavate for, construct and backfill GRS abutments. Grade and compact access ramps to the bridge deck elevation. Install rip rap protection around the abutments. Install the bridge and secure it to the abutments. Realign the walking path and resurface the realigned part. Restore site including seeding and mulching. Provide other related improvements. Bidders must provide with their Proposal (or Bid) either a certified bank treasurer's check, a certified cashier's check payable to the order of Clifford Township, or a bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid. Bidders must also provide with their Proposal a fully completed Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Public Works Employment Verification Form. The two apparent low bidders will be required after bids are opened to provide proof of prior experience and adequate resources to complete the project. The successful low bidder will be required to furnish fully executed original Proposal (or Bid) forms. Failure to fully comply with all bid requirements including but not limited to the above will be cause to reject a bid. Clifford Township may hold all Bids and they shall remain irrevocable for 60 days from the Bid Opening date. Clifford Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive any informalities or irregularities, or negotiate contract amounts. The successful Contractors will be required to furnish upon Contract Award a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each for one hundred (100%) percent of the contract price as bid.
