Per the owner, as of November 15, 2022, construction began in August 2022 and is anticipated to be completed in June 2023. Closed solicitation has been included below for referrence. .................. The City of Long Beach ("City"), sponsor for the Long Beach Airport ("Airport"), is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) from qualified and experienced firms to provide Engineering Design Services and Engineering Construction Management Services for the Runway 12-30 Electrical Improvements Project. The project includes the complete replacement of the runway lighting circuits, including associated constant current regulators (CCRs) and all cable, light fixtures, signs, precision approach path indicators (PAPIs), and other electrical components for Runway 12-30. The electrical improvements will include the full length of the runway which is approximately 10,000-ft by 250-ft (including shoulders). Runway 12-30 is the primary Air Carrier runway. Runway 12-30 electrical equipment is over 15 years old. An airfield lighting investigation was performed in early 2020. The investigation indicated that the existing runway lighting and associated equipment is not up to standards and needs to be replaced. Electrical improvements to the runway will preserve safety and capacity. Q&A due 04/27/2021
