The University is soliciting offers from qualified manufacturers for two new deaerators. The University intends to replace two deaerators: one at the Medical Center Heating Plant, and one at the Central Heating Plant. The existing deaerators in these heating plants are well past their useful life and no longer function reliably. The existing Medical Center Heating Plant deaerator is a 400,000 LB/HR spray-scrubber type deaerator. The University intends to replace this unit with a 350,000 LB/HR tray-type deaerator, per the attached technical bid specification. The existing Central Heating Plant deaerator is a 220,000 LB/HR, vertically arranged sprayscrubber type deaerator. The University intends to replace this unit with a 150,000 LB/HR vertical tray-type deaerator, per the attached technical bid specification. However, manufacturers are encouraged to provide alternates that increase unit performance and capacity while maintaining the space parameters outlined in the technical bid specification. Contract Award 05/21/2021 The University reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals (or parts of proposals), to waive any informalities or technicalities, to clarify any ambiguities in proposals and (unless otherwise specified) to accept any item in the proposal. In case of error in extension or prices or other errors in calculation, the unit price shall govern. Further, the University reserves the right to make a single award, split awards, multiple awards or no award, whichever is in the best interest of the University.
