This project consists of rehabilitating the existing 24" sanitary trunk sewer from Casa Buena Drive right of way through the private car lot easement to Meadowsweet Drive right of way in Corte Madera, CA. Rehabilitation method proposed includes open trench pipe replacement. Work also includes traffic control, erosion control, temporary bypass pumping, potholing, dewatering, manhole replacement, sewer lateral replacement, new manholes, and other related work. The Contractor will be required to complete installation of the new 24" sanitary trunk within the easement of the private car lot, including all restoration work, between Jul 6, 2021 and August 3, 2021 (4 work weeks). A certified check or bid bond executed by an admitted surety insurer, for not less than ten percent (10%) of the proposal shall be submitted with each bid as a guarantee that the lowest responsible bidder awarded the Contract, will fulfill the terms of the bid. The certified check or bid bond shall be made payable to the Sanitary District No. 2. Sanitary District No. 2 reserves the right to refuse any or all proposals or bids or portions thereof. Bids shall be marked: "Bid of (Contractor) for Meadowsweet Drive Sewer Rehabilitation Project Phase 1 - Project No. 19-201 along with date and time of bid opening. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to accept only a portion of certain items of the bid or to waive informalities in the bid. In entering into a District contract or a subcontract to supply goods, services, or materials pursuant to a District contract, the contractor or subcontractor offers and agrees to assign to the awarding body all rights, title, and interest in and to all causes of action it may have under Section 4 of the Clayton Act (15 U.S.C. Sec. 15) and/or under the Cartwright Act (Chapter 2 (commencing with Section 16700) of Part 2 of Division 7 of the Business and Professions Code), arising from purchases of goods, services, or materials pursuant to the District contract or the subcontract. This assignment shall be made and become effective at the time the awarding body tenders final payment to the contractor, without further acknowledgement by the parties.
