Site work for a mixed-use development in Babbitt, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and water / sewer project.
Major quantities the work include: Grubbing acre 8.80 Clearing acre 2.15 Common excavation cu yd 8,639 Common borrow (lv) cu yd 4,022 Type sp 12.5 wearing course mixture (2,b) ton 1,931 4" pvc pipe sewer lin ft 2,305 8" pvc pipe sewer lin ft 3,744 Lift station each 1 4" hdpe pipe sewer - directional drilled lin ft 8,985 4" hdpe water main - directionally drilled lin ft 8,070 Electrical service lump sum 1 Common topsoil borrow cu yd 3,050 Visitor center building lump sum 1 Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. A Contractor responding to these Bidding Documents must submit to the City/Owner a signed statement under oath by an owner or officer verifying compliance with each of the minimum criteria in Minnesota Statutes, section 16C.285, subdivision 3. This Work shall be subject to minimum wages and labor standards in accordance with State of Minnesota. American Iron and Steel (AIS) Provision Compliance is required. The City of Babbitt reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract in the best interests of the City of Babbitt.
