Per the owner, a firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: St. Johns County is soliciting qualifications from interested firms to provide professional engineering services for design, permitting, right-of-way acquisition, utility coordination services, and construction documents for westbound dual left turn lanes and widening SR-16 to 4-lanes from CR-16A to St. James Avenue in St. Johns County, Florida. The scope of services for this project shall include providing complete design, permitting, needed right-of-way delineation for acquisition, utility coordination services, and construction documents for the widening of SR 16 from the CR16A intersection to St. James Avenue and the timing for construction of dual eastbound thru lanes to Silverleaf Parkway. Proposed improvements include dual left turn lanes from westbound SR 16, SR 16 widening from existing 2 lane rural arterial to 4 lane urban divided arterial including a 22' median, sidewalks and paved shoulders. St. Johns County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids/proposals, waive minor formalities, and to award the bid/proposal that best serves the interests of St. Johns County. St. Johns County also reserves the right to award the base bid and any alternate bids in any combination that best suits the needs of the County.
