The Strontia Springs Reservoir Pressure Reducing Valve Station (PRV Station) located at the west end of Waterton Canyon is a critical facility for Aurora Water which operationally receives raw water from Strontia Springs Reservoir (Which was constructed in 1983) via Tunnel #1 and discharges water at a defined flow rate without exceeding a maximum allowable pressure. The proposed Work, (primarily at the existing Strontia (PRV) Station, and secondarily at the existing Strontia Springs Reservoir Intake Tower), provides for the general rehabilitation and/or replacement of various items and systems, including in the areas of: sitework, building structure/architectural, civil/structural, mechanical/HVAC, new electrical power feed, new standby generator, new SCADA control panel and process instrumentation, access control and security system, and safety systems.
