Notice Content ADVERTISEMENT TO BID Sealed Bids for the construction of N Market Street Water Main, for the Village of Minerva, Ohio will be received by the Minerva Village Administrator in the Minerva Village Hall at 209 North Market Street until 12:00 P.M. noon, local time, May 24, 2021 and at that time and place will be publicly opened and read. The work for which Bids are invited consists of the furnishing of all materials and labor for the construction of the following: Approximately 1,320 lineal feet of 8" C900 water main, with 4", 6", and 10" spool pieces, with appropriate fittings, valves, thrust blocks, and hydrants; reconnecting all water services and laterals; disinfecting and testing; isolating and cutting in connections to existing water lines; plugging and abandoning existing water lines; saw cutting and repairing pavement and walks; pavement mill and new asphalt surface course. The estimated construction cost for this project is $254,000. Copies of the Contract Documents are on file in the Minerva Village Hall at 209 North Market Street, Minerva, Ohio 44857; in the office of Davey Resource Group, 1310 Sharon Copley Rd, Sharon Center, OH 44274 (with appointment); and in the Dodg e and Builders Exchange offices and are available for inspection by prospective bidders. Contract Documents may be purchased from the office of the Village of Minerva Administrator for a cost of $75.00 per set, none of which is refundable. Bidders are required to register with and obtain Bidding Documents from the office of the Village of Minerva Administrator. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services and labor in the implementation of the project. Additionally, contractor compliance with equal employment opportunity requirements of the Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Stark County and the Village of Minerva, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division, (614) 644-2239. DOMESTIC STEEL USE REQUIREMENTS AS SPECIFIED IN SECTION 153.011 OFTHE REVISED CODE APPLY TO THIS PROJECT. COPIES OF SECTION 153.011 OF THE OF THE REVISED CODE CAN BE OBTAINED FROM ANY OF THE OFFICES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES. The right is reserved by the Council of the Village of Minerva to reject any and all Bids, to waive informalities or to accept any Bid which is deemed favorable to the Village of Minerva, Ohio.
