Renovation of a water / sewer project in Green Cove Springs, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a wastewater treatment plant.

The purpose of this solicitation is to secure a qualified and licensed consulting firm to facilitate the phased site planning and Phase I expansion of a new Peters Creek WWTF. The existing plant consists of a 0.20 million gallons per day (MGD) permitted/0.25 MGD design capacity annual average daily flow basis (AADF) Modified Ludzack-Ettinger (MLE) process in a steel ring package plant. The existing facility is configured as an anoxic basin, aeration basin, center clarifier, and a biosolids holding tank. Process air and mixing air for biosolids are provided by two multistage centrifugal blowers. Treated effluent is directed to onsite rapid infiltration basins (RIBs) and meets annual average permit standards limits of 20/20 CBOD/TSS (mg/L), and <10 mg/L NO3-N in groundwater monitoring. CCUA is planning on replacing the existing facility with a new one in two phases: 0.75 MGD AADF in Phase I and another 0.75 MGD (to 1.5 MGD total AADF) in Phase II.
