As of January 6, 2022, an architect has been selected and this project is in the design phase. The City has identified a preliminary study area (shown in the map above); one of the initial tasks will be to confirm this overall study area. In order to move this vision to the next level, detailed analysis must be conducted for the areas as specified below. Responding consultants should have knowledge and experience with land use, urban design, brownfields, historic preservation and reuse, transportation, and utilities/infrastructure. Innovative and creative approaches are encouraged; the City will consider a phased approach to the scope if responding consultants can demonstrate why a specific approach to planning for this area should be undertaken.
