Renovation of a municipal facility in Westfield, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The Contractor shall perform all Work required by the Contract Documents for Brief Description of the Work prepared by Name of Architect or Engineer acting as and referred to in the Contract Documents as the "Architect/Engineer". Dolan Court plans from original drawings by Caolo Associates - Architects and Engineers, Springfield, MA dated Oct. 9, 1959. Contractors are reminded that not every detail of construction can be shown on the drawings and that not every part of every assembly can be listed in the specifications. The Owner assumes that contractors are experienced tradesman who estimate and supply all the required materials for their trades as having visited the site prior to bidding. Protect all existing finishes to remain during construction. Contractor is responsible for repairing any and all existing finishes damaged during construction to the Architect and Owner's satisfaction. This includes all existing finishes outside of the immediate work area not scheduled to be renovated; all other interior finishes used to access area of work; all site finishes utilized to access area of work. Contractors are to field verify all existing conditions and dimensions prior to bidding. Any discrepancies are to be reported to the architect immediately. Contractor responsible for ensuring that all new doors and frames fit existing openings appropriately, and new doors and hardware function properly. Existing door widths are not to be made any narrower by new doors and frames. Patch to match all existing finishes affected by this project. Replace exterior doors, frames, hardware, and trim where noted in schedule and details. Replace storm/screen doors where noted in schedule. Provide new storm/screen doors where noted in schedule. Note: Applicable to Frederick Street location only. Contractor responsible for replacing any damaged trim noted to be removed and reinstalled in kind, and finish to match. Owner shall provide all locksets and cores; the Contractor shall install. The Owner shall provide all cores for all rim exit devices; the Contractor shall install. Contractor must provide a detailed schedule prior to starting work for each area adjacent to a building. The schedule shall take into consideration the required 48 Hour Notice that the LHA needs to inform Residents of the commencement of work. RCAT and the LHA shall review the schedule and approve prior to the start of any work. Proposed work not adhering to the 48 hour resident notification rule will not be allowed. Work either shown on the Drawings or included in the specifications unless specifically indicated not to be done. Work outside the Project Site as called for in the Contract Documents and as required for the performance of the Work. Providing and restoring, where appropriate, all temporary facilities.
