Site work and asbestos abatement for a residential development in Greensboro, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a residential development; and for asbestos abatement for a residential development.

For the furnishing of labor, material, and equipment entering into the Removal and Abatement of items containing Asbestos in the dwelling located at 1322 Bothwell Street in Greensboro, NC. Asbestos testing results and Project Manual are attached to this email. The base bid work will include but not limited to selective demolition and removal of all items containing asbestos. Contractor will be responsible for all work associated with the removal and Abatement of the asbestos in all areas and items noted in the report provided. Bidders may contact Jim Teele at 336-373-75214 or James.teele@greensboro-nc.gov with any questions. Bids will be received by single prime format, by Abatement contractors for all work. All proposals shall be based on a stipulated sum basis. Segregated bids will not be accepted. All proposals shall include the cost of all state and local sales and use taxes. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a cashier's check or a certified check drawn on some bank or trust company, insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, of an amount equal to but not less than five Percent (5%) of the proposal, or in lieu thereof a bidder may offer a bid bond of five percent (5%) of the bid executed by a surety company licensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute the contract in accordance with the bid bond. Said deposit shall be retained by the Owner as liquidated damages in event of failure of the successful bidder to execute the contract within ten working days after the award or to give satisfactory surety as required by law. Each proposal must be accompanied by the documentation required by the City of Greensboro's Minority and Women's Business Enterprise program included in the project manual. Failure to include such documentation is grounds for rejection of the bid proposal. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities that are deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Greensboro. The Home located at 1322 Bothwell Street, Greensboro, NC and is planned for demolition and the removal of all positively tested ceiling material in lobby area. The project consists of the removal and disposal of asbestos ceiling material that contains asbestos fiber in quantities greater than 01% by weight.
