The proposed project is located at the newly constructed US-278 Flyover in Beaufort County. This project involves the repair of erosion which is occurring underneath the existing flyover at existing openings in the base of the barrier along the edge of the road. These discharge points appear to be causing ditches / channels to form which results in destabilization of the slope and, in some cases, undermining of the adjacent road. The work for this project included, but was not limited to, the following: 1. Conduct bi-weekly calls/meetings with Beaufort County Engineering representatives and provide meeting notes. 2. Comply with the Beaufort County Manual for Stormwater Best Management Practices, Town of Bluffton Stormwater Design Manual, and be in compliance with the SCDOT Standard Specifications 2007, the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices 2009 and SCDOT Supplement. The selected firm must provide all services in full compliance with all applicable local, State, and Federal laws and regulations. 3. Provide submittals and shop drawings for review for all materials and equipment prior to incorporation into the project. 4. Call PUPS for utility locates prior to commencing any work. 5. Coordinate with the UtilityCompanies for the relocation of any utilities during construction and notify the Design Engineer and the Beaufort County Engineering Division representative of any field changes in order to avoid future conflicts. NO UTILITY CONFLICTS ARE EXPECTED. 6. Submit detailed construction schedules. Schedules will be updated and submitted to the Beaufort County Construction Engineer monthly. 7. Perform repairs in accordance with the plans and specifications. 8. Material testing and inspections, if necessary, will be provided by the Contractor in accordance with the defined scope noted on the drawings. 9. Restoration of all disturbed areas including laydown and construction staging. 10. Installation of traffic control devices and provide certified flaggers, if necessary. 11. Provide sealed as built survey of the riprap channels installed as part of theproject. IFB 061421 5 12. Once construction is completed the Design Engineer, the Contractor and a Beaufort County Stormwater Department representative will meet to inspect the site. A substantial completionpunch list will be compiled and distributed to the Contractor. Once the punch list items are addressed, the above mentioned members will meet again for a final inspection
