DESCRIPTION: This project proposes to construct a precast concrete 12' diameter repump station with duplex submersible wastewater pumps/motors including electric control panel; valves; fittings; flow meter; site work; standby generator/automatic transfer switch (installation only); and restoration as shown and described on the contract plans complete, tested and ready for operation as required by FDEP and St. Lucie County Regulations. Construction to be done to minimize interruption of existing utility operations. All Bidders are required to submit a five percent (5%) Bid Bond with the Bid Form or their bid shall be rejected as non-responsive. A one hundred percent (100%) Public Construction Bond is required upon notification of St. Lucie County's intention to award the contract to the apparent successful bidder. Bids may be mailed or hand delivered to the St Lucie County Purchasing Department, 2300 Virginia Avenue, 2nd Floor Rm. 228, Fort Pierce, FL 34982. Any bids received after the above stated time shall be returned to the bidder unopened. Bidders shall submit ONE (1) MARKED ORIGINAL AND TWO (2) PHOTOCOPIES OF THE COMPLETED BID PACK AGE in a sealed envelope. The Project Nam e, Bid Number, and time and date of the Bid opening shall be clearly marked on the outside of the sealed envelope. Facsimile responses shall not be accepted. CAUTION: It is the bidder's/proposer's responsibility to ensure that bids/proposals are received in the Purchasing Department prior to the date and time specified above. Receipt of a bid/proposal in any other County office does not satisfy this requirement. Bidders may not withdraw their Bid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the bid opening date. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to waive any informalities or minor irregularities; reject any and all bids/proposals which are incomplete, conditional, obscure, or which contain additions not allowed for; accept or reject any proposal in whole or in part with or without cause; and accept the proposal which best serves the County.
