All Bidders are required to submit a five percent (5%) Bid Bond with the Bid Form or their bid shall be rejected as non-responsive. A one hundred percent (100%) Public Construction Bond is required upon notification of St. Lucie Countys intention to award the contract to the apparent successful bidder. A 1.83% DBE participation is required for this bid, if the total proposed DBE participation is less than the established DBE goal, Bidder must provide written documentation of the good faith efforts as required by 49 CFR Part 26, or their bid shall be rejected as non-responsive. Bids may be mailed or hand delivered to the St Lucie County Purchasing Department, 2300 Virginia Avenue, 2nd Floor Rm. 228, Fort Pierce, FL 34982. Any bids received after the above stated time shall be returned to the bidder unopened. Bidders shall submit ONE (1) MARKED ORIGINAL AND TWO (2) PHOTOCOPIES OF THECOMPLETED BIDPACKAGE in a sealed envelope. The Project Name, Bid Number, and time and date of the Bid opening shall be clearly marked on the outside of the sealed envelope. Facsimile responses shall not be accepted. Bidders may not withdraw their Bid for a period of one hundred and eighty (180) calendar days after the bid opening date.
