This project is to replace the quench reactor (QR) 2 and baghouse 2 expansion joints located at the Olmsted Waste to Energy Facility (OWEF) in Rochester, Minnesota. Question Cutoff Date: 5/28/2021 11:00 AM (ET) budget of $40,000 for QR 2 Expansion Joints and $40,000 for Baghouse 2 Expansion Joints. $80,000 total for parts (material), labor, and installation. Project timeline can be found in the project specifications. : (1.) The OWEF project manager who is assigned responsibility for accomplishing the project will initiate the use of this form by filling in the pertinent project information (contractor's name, project description, anticipated dates, etc.). (2.) Prior to the initiation of the project, the OWEF project manager shall complete the contractor safety checklist by placing a check-mark or X in each applicable item and discuss the checklist and project with the OWEF Safety Specialist or appropriate manager (detailed below). The purpose of this discussion is to verify safety issues were not overlooked and all necessary topics are covered and discussed in the briefing with the contractor. The OWEF Safety Specialist or appropriate manager shall then initial and date to verify and approve the scope of safety items. If the OWEF Safety Specialist is not available to discuss the project with the OWEF project manager the next contact should be: Industrial Hygiene Shift Supervisor, OWEF Plant Manager, and OWEF Assistant Plant Manager. (3.) The OWEF project manager will then be responsible for reviewing the contractor checklist items with the contractor supervisor. The OWEF project manager must also be ensured by the contractor supervisor that all his/her employees on site have or will receive the information detailed on this contractor safety checklist and will also have the proper equipment and training to safely conduct the work.
