Renovation of a mixed-use development in Edmonton, Alberta. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.
The University of Alberta is inviting General Contractors with proven experience successfully completing Work on construction projects to submit a Proposal for the Edmonton Clinic Health Academy Health Sciences Library construction. The General Contractor will be acting as Prime Contractor, as defined and having the meaning ascribed to it in the Occupational Health and Safety Act of Alberta, and shall be designated as Prime Contractor, as defined in the General Conditions of Construction, unless stated otherwise in the Supplementary General Conditions of Construction. The University of Alberta Health Sciences Library facility is relocating from its current location at the Walter C. Mackenzie Health Sciences Centre (WCMHC) to a new location at the Edmonton Clinic Health Academy (ECHA). The scope of the current project involves selective demolition along with substantial reconfiguration and internal renovation within the north end of the ECHA building, at both Main and Lower Floor levels.
