Site work for a civil project in Hays, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Construction is underway. The original solicitation is included below: Improvements include the repair of failures within the existing tunnel and the lining of approximately 1,956 LF of 66 to 72 diameter storm sewer tunnel with structural epoxy. Each bid shall be accompanied by a cashiers check, a certified check or a bid bond, payable to the City of Hays, Kansas, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid. Each bidder to whom a contract for the work is awarded will be required to furnish a Contract Bond and a Payment Bond executed on the specified forms and acceptable to the City of Hays, Kansas, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract. The City of Hays reserves the right to reject or accept any and all bids/proposals, to waive any irregularities in such bids/proposals, and to accept such bids/proposals that are the most responsive and best suits the City of Hays. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 45 (forty-five) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the written consent of the City of Hays, Kansas. Prospective bidder must have a minimum experience of 10,000 feet of coating experience utilizing plural spray application technique in large diameter underground tunnel systems. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
