Site work for a water / sewer project in West Des Moines, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Project consists of grading and installing culverts along the north side of high street and running storm sewer to the north to a creek channel. Project includes 193 lf of 18" trenchless storm sewer, 239 lf of 18" hdpe, 45 lf of 18" rcp, 240 lf of 15" cmp culverts, pcc driveway removal and replacement, water service relocations, sodding, and site restoration. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price guaranteeing faithful performance of the contract and guaranteeing payment to all persons supplying labor and/or materials in the execution of the work provided for in the contract. Additionally the contractor must provide the city with a guarantee of maintenance of said improvement in the form of surety for a period of four (4) years from the time of acceptance by the city Work on said project shall commence within 10 days of written notice to proceed and shall be completed by may 31st, 2024. Liquidated damages in the amount of five hundred dollars ($500.00) per day will be assessed for each day that the work remains uncompleted after the end of the contract period. The city reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to waive any and/or all technicalities and/or all irregularities.
