The estimated contract value is $130,000. This estimate does not include procurement cost of the aluminum plate arch culvert, headwalls, and wingwalls which will be purchased by the Township via CoStars. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check, bank cashiers check, trust company treasurers check or bid bond (in the required form) for ten percent (10%) of the bid total. The project includes, but is not limited to, removal and replacement of an existing 24-inch corrugated polyethylene culvert pipe. The existing culvert shall be replaced with a new 15'-0" span x 4'-8" rise aluminum plate arch culvert with cast-in-place concrete footers. The scope of work also includes removal and replacement of existing guiderail, installation of aluminum headwalls/wingwalls, road re-profiling, gravel road surface restoration, erosion and sediment pollution controls, tree and shrub planting, and other associated work. The aluminum plate arch culvert, headwalls, and wingwalls will be procured directly by Union Township. However, the contractor is responsible for assembly and installation.Prevailing wage rates and record-keeping procedures established by Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry shall apply to the project. Union Township hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to reject any and all bids and to waive any omissions, errors, mistakes, defects or irregularities in any bid at its sole discretion.
