Site work and paving for a civil project in Anderson, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: 1. Provide and install headwalls and extended culvert across Cedar Street. 2. Provide and install a new 15-inch culvert with SETs across Fanthorp Street. 3. Provide and install a headwall for five existing culverts across Johnson Street. 4. Work includes all ancillary repairs, cement-stabilized sand backfi ll, and pavement extensions necessary to deliver a fi nal product as shown in the contract drawings. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid [for those contracts that exceed $100,000]. A certifi ed check or bank draft payable to the Town of Anderson or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The project to be constructed will be fi nanced with assistance from the General Land Offi ce (GLO) under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) program and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing Davis-Bacon and Related Acts wage rate, as issued by the Department of Labor and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin. Adherence to the Town of Anderson Section 3 Policy is required for contracts and subcontracts in excess of $100,000.00. All contractors and subcontractors must be cleared (not suspended or debarred) prior to any formal action authorizing the award of a contract to the contractor. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, Section 3 Businesses, and labor surplus area fi rms are encouraged to submit bids. The Town of Anderson reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by Town of Anderson for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifi cations prior to the contract award.
