Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Sioux City, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The project is located at Lyons Park, W. 1st Street and John Street, and includes site clearing, earthwork, new sidewalks, playground equipment, an obstacle course, playground surfacing, a new park shelter, chain link fencing, site furnishings, storm sewer, water service, electrical and lighting, as well as site seeding and tree plantings. There are two alternates for this project. Alternate One consists of a small shelter, concrete footings and pad, subgrade preparation and a picnic table. Alternate Two consists of additional parking spaces, sidewalks, painted markings, and the furnishing and installation of handicap signs. Each bid must be made on a form furnished by the City and must be accompanied by a bid bond, a cashier's check or certified check of an Iowa bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States, or a certified share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, made payable to the City Treasurer of the City of Sioux City, Iowa. The check or draft may be cashed by the City Treasurer as liquidated damages in the event the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract within the ten (10) days after notice of award and post bond satisfactory to the City ensuring the faithful fulfillment of the contract The Notice of Public Hearing will be published in the Sioux City Journal on April 13, 2024 and April 20, 2024. The work on this project shall begin upon receipt of the Notice to Proceed with a late start date of July 1, 2024 and be completed by September 30, 2024 with the exception of the play/ninja equipment and surfacing, and the shelter(s).
