Site work and new construction of a pre-engineered storage facility in Elkhart, Iowa. Completed plans call for the construction of a pre-engineered storage facility; and for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility.

Construct nominal 72 x 40 metal building with insulation, concrete floor and foundation, doors, overhead doors, mechanical, electrical and miscellaneous associated work, including cleanup. Also construct nominal 25 x 20 hoop building with concrete floor and foundation. Sitework consists of excavation, grading, paving, sanitary sewer service, water service, and other miscellaneous work. The new maintenance building will be located at 452 NW Elm Street, Elkhart Iowa. The work will commence within ten (10) calendar days after the date set forth in written Notice to Proceed and shall be fully completed by March 25, 2022. Liquidated damages in the amount of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) per calendar day will be assessed for each day the work shall remain uncompleted after the end of the contract period. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities or technicalities in any bid and to accept the bid which it deems to be to the best interest of the City. A. Furnish all materials, labor and equipment to construct New Maintenance Building Project as set out in the Notice to Bidders. B. The new Maintenance Building shall be a pre-engineered wood post building, 72' x 40' with metal siding, standing seam roof, wall and roof insulation, and interior linear panels. Reference drawings for description of all finishes. C. The Owner has purchased and stored a Clear Span hoop structure onsite. The General Contractor is responsible for installation of the existing hoop structure on new footings and foundation walls as shown in the project drawings. The General Contractor is responsible for anchorage and securing existing hoop structure to new foundation walls per manufacturer's recommendations. Reference Appendix A for Clear Span structure information. The work will commence within ten (10) calendar days after the date set forth in written Notice to Proceed and shall be fully completed by September 30, 2022.
