General Requirements - Bid Deposit Required - Insurance Required - Prevailing Wage Required - Certified Payroll Pricing Item Based Scope of Work: 1. Shall excavate to the limits necessary and prepare a compacted subbase with an approved mechanical compactor. 2. Shall obtain and place a maximum of four (4) inches of crushed stone on the compacted subbase to a specified line and grade. 3. Shall include the forming, placement, finishing and curing necessary to install four (6) inch concrete sidewalk or flat work as specified. a. The supplied concrete shall be Standard City of Jamestown Concrete Mix, 611 lbs. cement / cy of concrete with approved admixture, 3" slump, +/- 1 inch. 4. Shall apply a liquid membrane curing compound to all new concrete surfaces in accordance with NYSDOT Standard Specifications. 5. Shall protect work from defects and/or vandalism until all forms and work equipment have been removed. 6. All concrete flatwork shall be edged with a rounded tool of a 1/4 inch radius, including section joints, to achieve a "picture frame" finish, unless otherwise specified or as directed by the City Engineer.
