Description: The Lumpkin County Board of Commissioners is seeking qualified firms to develop a plan for street lighting in Yahoola Creek Park and to provide for the installation of the lighting system. The Lumpkin County Board of Commissioners is seeking qualified firms to develop a plan for street lighting in Yahoola Creek Park and to provide for the installation of the lighting system. The county is providing a map which shows the location of transformers, existing poles and the location of existing stub-outs. There is available power on Mechanicsville Road. Should a firm choose to include lighting fixtures outside of the existing stub-outs or pole areas they would be responsible for securing permission to attach to those existing power structures. Proposals should conform to the City of Dahlonega's Dark Sky ordinance. The successful firm may also be expected to make a presentation to the Lumpkin County Board of Commissioners, provide engineering reports, and provide energy use and cost estimations. The county, upon request, will provide a CAD that firms may use to draft their plans. The owner shall have the right to waive any informality, irregularity, or insufficiency in the proposal procedure and in any proposal or proposals received, and to accept the proposal which, in the Owner's sole judgment, is in the Owner's own best interest.
