Renovation of a water / sewer project in Buffalo, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

A. The Work is located at the Colonel Ward Water Treatment Plant, 2 Porter Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14201. B. The Work to be performed under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, constructing the Work described below and all related appurtenances. The Work shall be as follows: 1. Residuals lagoon improvements: a. Removal of remaining residuals from the existing lagoon. b. Removal of existing residual lagoon components, including earthen structures, influent and effluentstructures,splash pad, and appurtenances. c. Providing a new concrete residuals lagoon tank with two compartments and a concrete decant structure to replace the existing earthen lagoon. d. Providing new mechanicalsystems, including slide gates, lagoon decant pump, lagoon residuals pumps, sedimentation basin residuals pump, piping, electrical, controls, and appurtenances. e. Providing residuals lagoon lighting and security systems. 2. Sedimentation basin residuals wet well: a. Improvements to the existing sedimentation basin residuals manhole, including modifications to existing piping b. Providing new sedimentation basin residuals pump, variable frequency drive, piping, electrical, controls, and appurtenances. 3. Improvements to the existing buried thickened residuals force main piping. 4. Providing instrumentation and controls for new pumping systems and integration with the existing plant supervisory, control, and data acquisition (SCADA) system 5. Site/civil Work, including grading, lawns, and site restoration Work. 6. Other Work as shown and indicated in the Contract Documents. D. Contracting Method: The Work will be constructed under one prime contract. E. Hazardous Environmental Conditions: 1. To the best of OWNER's knowledge, information, and belief, the Site has been a water treatment and distribution facility since circa1920
