Renovation of a water / sewer project in Altavista, Virginia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Sealed Bids will be received for the implementation of Town of Altavista Water Treatment Plant Filter Improvements at the existing treatment facility. Work includes replacement of existing hydraulically actuated filter control valves with electrically actuated units, installation of new filter controls, replacement of existing surface wash piping, and related improvements. Withdrawal of Bids due to error shall be in accordance with Virginia Code Section 2.2-4330.B. 1. Should the apparent low Bid exceed available funds, the Owner reserves the right to negotiate with the apparent low bidder to obtain a contract price within available funds. Bidders shall comply with Virginia Code Section 54.1-1112 regarding information required with Bid. Envelopes containing Bids shall be clearly marked with the Bidder's contractor license number. Bidders certify that they do not or will not maintain or provide for their employees any facilities that are segregated on the basis of race, color, creed, or national origin. The Work will be substantially completed within 210 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Paragraph 4.01 of the General Conditions, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions within 240 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run.
