The City of Gaithersburg is committed steward of the environment and as such is seeking to increase energy efficiency. The City has an inventory of City Owned and PEPCO owned lights in the City Boundary. The City is seeking to contract the procurement and installation of Light Emitting Diode (LED) luminaire to replace existing high pressure sodium luminaires in the City limits. The City owns approximately 3,750 street lights and has converted over 940 of those lights to date.
