Questions are due by June 22, 2021 by 4:00 PM. Owner designates the following person, as its representative and Point of-Contact for this RFQ. Respondent shall restrict all contact with Owner and direct all questions regarding this RFQ, including questions regarding terms and conditions, to the Point-of-Contact person identified below. RESPONDENT SHALL NOT CONTACT ANY OTHER OWNER REPRESENTATIVE AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON. ALL QUESTIONS MUST BE IN WRITING AND SUBMITTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RFI SUBMISSION TIMELINE ESTABLISHED IN THIS RFQ. Christopher Vest The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Sourcing & Contract Management Email: ccvest@mdanderson.org The scope of the project is also expected to include renovations within Owner's Pawnee Street Warehouse Complex, the main building of which is approximately 150,000 GSF. 2.1 Owner seeks to engage a design-build contractor to provide design-build services to design and construct a new Central Service Center (CSC). The current campus receiving, and distribution system and its associated facilities have outgrown the capacity to which the system was configured to support. The CSC will support the vacating of certain facilities or portions thereof within the Owner's Texas Medical Center (TMC Campus) in Houston, Texas in order to improve space planning in and around the Main Building complex. The CSC will provide secured, temperature-controlled centralized storage, oversight, the enablement for better management of materials, expenses and operations. The facility is anticipated to have a total gross square feet (GSF) amount of 380,000 with numerous key stakeholders to include but not limited to Pharmacy, Sterile Processing redundancy, Food Services, Lab Services etc. The scope of the project will include site development, which encompasses utility infrastructure work; new construction of the exterior shell and core; and the interior finish-out of the facility. The CSC will also consolidate four other UT MD Anderson properties/warehouses with modifications to the core of Pawnee Warehouse Facility. 2.2 The scope of the project is also expected to include renovations within Owner's Pawnee Street Warehouse Complex, the main building of which is approximately 150,000 GSF. 2.3 The Preliminary Project Cost (PPC) for the Project is $90,000,000 and includes a designbuild budget limitation (DBBL) of $70,000,000, which amount includes design and construction of the new Central Service Center and renovations associated with the Pawnee Street Warehouse Complex. Fees, furnishings, equipment, other work, miscellaneous expenses, and contingencies make up the balance of the PPC. Owner anticipates the project will be designed in three Construction Contract Stages: one for the Central Service Center, one for the development of site infrastructure, and one for the renovations within the Pawnee Street Warehouse Complex.
