The successful bidder will be required to furnish all equipment, vehicles, labor, supervision, materials necessary to perform all work necessary for the application of pavement marking materials which utilize multiple disciplines such as conventional painting, reflectorized and/or heat applied materials at all locations designated by the Township and reflected in the attachments. All bidders must submit bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%). Doylestown Township reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to accept the bid which is in the best interest of the Township. It is the intent of these specifications to govern the successful bidder in furnishing all equipment, vehicles, labor, supervision, materials necessary to perform all work necessary for the application of pavement marking materials which utilize multiple disciplines such as conventional painting, reflectorized and/or heat applied materials at all locations designated by the Township and reflected in the attachments. Such materials and its applications shall meet PennDOT specifications for pavement marking installation. The successful bidder shall be PennDOT pre-qualified for this type of work and provide appropriate documentation so stating. As it relates to cross walks at non-signalized intersections, it should be noted by the successful bidder that these crosswalks shall be of the Continental style in the appropriate size for the road speed and traffic conditions. No diagonal striping nor cross lines shall be used for cross walks. Where crosswalks of this nature have been established, the Township intends that upon sufficient wear, they are removed and new Continental cross walks be installed unless otherwise directed by the Doylestown Township in writing or as indicated on the Attachment J - Field Sheets. The Township reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities as may be deemed necessary to meet its needs within this year's budget. It should be noted the Township willhave completed a Spring street sweeping of Township Roads, but not necessarily its Fall sweeping.
