Bids must be enclosed in a sealed envelope with the name of the bid clearly written on the outside of the envelope. BITUMINOUS MIXTURE FOR HOT APPLICATION (ASPHALT) Specifications: The supplier shall provide Level A mix as specified in Section 502 Asphalt Concrete Mixtures and Section 510 Asphaltic Concrete Pavement Patching, Widening and Joint Repair of the 2016 Louisiana Standard Specifications for Roads and Bridges. This material will be picked up by the Ascension Parish Government vehicles from the suppliers asphalt plant. The asphalt plant shall be located at a distance no greater than twenty-five (25) miles from the Ascension Parish Public Works Department located at 42077 Churchpoint Road, Gonzales, LA 70737. All bid submissions must include the asphalt plants physical address. Bids will be accepted on a price per ton basis only for a period of one (1) year to commence upon acceptance by the Ascension Parish Council. Electronic Bids are accepted at Central Bidding. The Parish of Ascension reserves the right to disqualify any Bid, response to a Request for Qualifications, or Request for Proposals if it is determined that the submitting business entity is not in good standing with the Louisiana Secretary of State or is not authorized to do business in the State of Louisiana. Ascension Parish Government reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause. The Ascension Parish Government shall not be responsible if the bidder cannot complete and submit a bid due to failure or incomplete delivery of the files submitted via the internet.
