The project consists of furnishing and installing new light fixtures on existing poles as shown on the project drawings, furnishing and installing new poles, lights, and concrete bases as shown on the project drawings, and furnishing and installing lighting controls for all new lighting circuits required by the General Contractor and Sub Contractors during the construction period. Where bids are to be received on forms furnished by the awarding authority, no contract documents shall be issued to anyone except a Licensed Contractor or his authorized Representatives. In no event shall any documents for bidding be issued later than seventy-two (72) hours prior to the hour and date set for receiving bids. Bids, If forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the bid must be enclosed in another envelope addressed to the Ascension Parish Purchasing Department, 615 E. Worthey, Gonzales, Louisiana (P.O. Box 2392, Gonzales, Louisiana 70707), mailed certified mail and must be received no later than the bid opening. In addition to paper bids, electronic bids and electronic bid bonds for the followings project will be downloaded by the Ascension Parish Purchasing Department. Electronic bids and electronic bid bonds must be submitted through electronically prior to the electronic bidding deadline. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Total Bid must accompany each Bid, and shall be made payable to the Owner. All questions regarding this project and the bid package shall be submitted to the Purchasing Department via purchasing@apgov.us by 5:00 PM on December 17, 2020. Responses will be coordinated with the Project Engineer and posted electronically by 2:00 PM on December 22, 2020. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. No bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual date of opening thereof. The Parish of Ascension reserves the right to disqualify and Bid, response to a Request for Qualifications Request for Proposals if it is determined that the submitting business entity is not in good standing with the Louisiana Secretary of State or is not authorized to do business in the State of Louisiana.
