Bids will be accepted on a price per ton basis only. Whenever in specifications the name of a certain brand, make, manufacturer, or definite specifications utilized, the specifications, shall state clearly that they do not restrict bidders to the specific brand, make, manufacturer, or specification named; that they are used only to set forth and convey to prospective bidders the general style, type character, and quality of the product desired and that equivalent products will be acceptable The lowest responsive bidder that is awarded the bid must have a minimum of $300,000 of General Liability Insurance and Workmens Compensation Insurance. All material ordered must be delivered within fifteen (15) working days from the date of order. During a declared state of emergency by the Ascension Parish Government or the State of Louisiana, delivery of requested material must begin within six (6) hours of request. Ascension Parish Government reserves the right to reject any and all bids for just cause.
