Renovation of a mixed-use development in San Rafael, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Re-Roof - approximate measurements of roofs as follows. Contractor shall be responsible for supply and installation of complete and working system, verification of all dimensions for inclusion in bid. All roofing materials shall provide minimum manufacturer's warranty of 25 yearscontractor's final design shall include manufacturer verification of installation and issuance of warranty prior to retention release. Marin County Office of Education will accept roofing materials manufactured by Firestone, Johns Manville, or Sarnafil. All edge metals shall be 22ga or better. Existing wood siding to be covered with Super JumboTex 60 min super resistive weather barrier (or approved equal), followed by James Hardie HZ10 Sierra 8 fiber cement panels (or approved equal) for entire exterior of building- roughly 5,000 square feet. All door, window and louver locations to receive installation of Hardie HZ10 fiber cement trim. All existing conduit, light fixtures, fire alarm devices, Knox key boxes or other wall mounted devices shall be removed and reinstalled in existing locations with required adaptation for added thickness of fiber cement panels; contractor to verify all surface mounted accessories, lighting, etc. for inclusion in bid. New 6" galvanized base flashing to be installed for entire North and West elevation of building. For East elevation, contractor shall include 250 square feet of woodpecker damaged wood siding removal for locations 12' and higher, replacement with 3/8" common plywood sheathing, and installation of HZ10 Sierra 8 fiber cement panels to provide continuous finish for East elevation. East elevation of building currently has two large HVAC condensing units and saw-dust collection system in place. Contractor shall assume all necessary adaptation and trim around existing ductwork. Dust collection system to be disconnected from existing power and ductwork and abandoned in place. Dust collection ducts shall be cut back from interior and exterior wall and capped at dust collector. Power shall be safely disconnected, conduits intercepted and removed from exterior wall, and finished condition left safely abandoned.
