The project is the discontinuation of gravity sewer system within the intertidal beach area by the District. Each of the four houses will have constructed a new Duplex Below Ground Private Pump System on their property which will pump up to Oak Drive and connect to a shared residential force main trench for all four force mains. The Contractor will obtain the building permit from the local building jurisdiction prior to system installation on private property. The shared residential force main trench is within the Marin County Right Of Way and requires and Encroachment Permit." The Contractor shall sufficiently obligate himself/herself and take the necessary precautions so as to perform and complete the work in accordance with the requirements of the contract documents and specifications and/or as shown on the plans and within the time limit specified herein. The Contractor shall perform all operations necessary to excavate whatever substance encountered, including earth, sand, gravel, rock, buried structures, pipes or debris, to the depth shown on the plans and required for the installation, to remove unsuitable material and replace with suitable material for bedding and backfill, and to restore the ground surface or pavement to conditions satisfactory to the Construction Manager.
