A timeline for award has not yet been established.** BPS building 64 Bailey Avenue, a former bus garage, is planned to be the new Buffalo Public Schools book depository. Major masonry work is required to seal the building envelope, including repointing, block resetting, and replacement of all steel window and door lintels. Questions Due Date: Jun 28th 2021, 4:00 PM EDT Maintain services/systems indicated to remain and protect them against damage during selective demolition operations. Before proceeding with demolition, provide temporary services/systems that bypass area of selective demolition and that maintain continuity of services/systems to other parts of the building. Locate, identify, shut off, disconnect, and seal or cap off indicated utility services and mechanical/electrical systems serving areas to be selectively demolished. Remove refrigerant from mechanical equipment to be selectively demolished according to 40 CFR 82 and regulations of authorities having jurisdiction. Provide temporary barricades and other protection required to prevent injury to people and damage to adjacent buildings and facilities to remain. MWBE Participation Goal The MWBE participation goal is 25% of the total dollar amount of this contract as awarded. Only MWBE firms that are certified by the Erie County/City of Buffalo Joint MBE/WBE Certification Committee or New York State MWBE Certification can be used to fulfill this goal. The contract dollar value thresholds for purchases of commodities/services greater than $25,000, and construction and construction-related contracts greater than $100,000.
