The County of San Luis Obispo (County) operates the Salinas Booster Station in Santa Margarita, CA. The Booster Station's primary purpose is to pump water from the Salinas Dam to the City of San Luis Obispo. There are several buildings, a small reservoir, an office building, and operator residences at the Booster Station site. The County recently procured an 500kW emergency backup generator that will supply power to the pumphouse, office buildings, and operator residences at the Booster Station during emergency events. In June 2021, RNM Engineering, Inc. completed the final electrical design for connecting the emergency generator to the Booster Station and provided an electrical plan set for the proposed work. The successful proposer will be responsible for installing the electrical equipment required to tie the emergency generator into the pumphouse and office main panels. The work will include utilities location, excavation, trenching, directional boring, and installation of conduits, pull boxes, feeder wire and other associated electrical equipment per the RMN Engineering, Inc. electrical design.
