WSA has undertaken stabilization and erosion control measures since 2015 in the Upper Qu'AppelleRiver. The proposed work for 2021 is associated with the stabilization of a portion of the the Upper Qu'Appelle channel. The work considered in this RFQ is for the placement of rock rip rap and granular material at four riffle locations and reclamation of work sites further described in this RFQ. WSA is a Treasury Board Crown corporation within the meaning of The Crown Corporations Act, 1993 (Saskatchewan) that is governed by The Water Security Agency Act (Saskatchewan). WSA is responsible for water management in the Province of Saskatchewan, which includes managing the Province's water supply, protecting water quality, ensuring safe drinking water and the treatment of wastewater, reducing flood and drought damage, protecting aquatic habitat, and managing 72 dams and related supply channels. WSA has undertaken stabilization and erosion control measures since 2015 in the Upper Qu'ppelle Channel. The proposed work for 2021 is associated with the stabilization of a portion of the Upper Qu'Appelle Channel. The work includes the construction of four (4) rock riffle structures and 15 to 20 rock groyne structures in the Upper Qu'Appelle Channel. The locations of the riffles are North of highway 42 between Marquis and Keeler, Saskatchewan. Also included in the work is reclamation of this year's work sites and previous year's work sites. Reclamation will include levelling and hydroseeding. The work locations are set out in Appendix A - Form of Agreement (Site Locations)
