This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Crowsnest Pass, Alberta. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.
Reference Number AB-2021-04122 On behalf of the Alberta-British Columbia Boundary Commission, the Director of Surveys Office (Land Surveys Unit, Lands Policy and Programs Branch, Lands Division, Alberta Environment and Parks) ("Surveys Unit") is accepting proposals from professional land surveyors to restore monuments marking the boundary between Alberta and British Columbia going from Tent Mountain north to the northside of the Crowsnest Pass. Tent Mountain is located south-southwest of the Crowsnest Pass region of southern Alberta. This work is being conducted under the authority of the Alberta-British Columbia (AB-BC) Boundary Commission. These portions of the interprovincial boundary were originally surveyed in 1914 by R.W. Cautley, DLS. Monuments 53F to 1F (Tent Mountain to the Crowsnest Pass going north) were formally inspected in 2019 and Monuments F to 22F (Crowsnest Pass going north) were formally inspected in 2020. A majority of the monuments were found in various states of deterioration. Thus, the purpose of this project is to restore the monuments on behalf of the Boundary Commission to preserve the physical definition of these portions of the interprovincial boundary. Proposals may be delivered to the Province in hardcopy format, i.e. paper or digital format. Facsimile Proposals in any form submitted in whole or in part will not be accepted as the Proponent's Proposal. When submitting a hardcopy format Proposal, Proponents are asked to provide an electronic copy of the Proposal in Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat format on CD or USB flash drive. This electronic copy, when provided, will not be accepted in place of the hardcopy version. If there are any conflicts, discrepancies, errors or omissions between the electronic and hardcopy versions of the Proposal, the hardcopy version will take precedence and govern. Proposals may be delivered by hand, courier or mail. When submitting a digital format Proposal, Proponents are asked to email their bid package to AEP.DirectorofSurveys@gov.ab.ca with the Project ID and Project Name in the subject line. It is the Proponent's responsibility to ensure the bid is received by the Province. The Province is not responsible for any lost Proposals. Canada Post only delivers Government of Alberta mail with Edmonton addresses to the main Canada Post depot in Edmonton. The Government of Alberta then picks up the mail and distributes it in accordance with the address label. It is the Proponent's responsibility when choosing the method of delivery for their Proposal, to ensure that its Proposal is received before the RFP Closing Date and Time at the location specified in this RFP. In responding to this RFP, the Proponent's attention is drawn to the following: a) Proposals received after the RFP's Closing Date and Time will be rejected. b) Ambiguous, unclear or unreadable Proposals may be rejected. c) Proposals should be delivered in a sealed, self-addressed package clearly marked with the RFP's number and Closing Date and Time. (Note: Waybills accompanying deliveries of Proposals by courier should contain the RFP number and the RFP's Closing Date and Time.)
