Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Oshawa, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 100,000-square-foot, two-story above grade clubhouse / community center; library; swimming pool; and fitness / recreation center.
Construction of a new recreation facility at the northeast corner of Thornton Road North and the future Britannia Avenue West extension, north of Conlin Road. The facility is currently proposed at 2 storeys; approx. 100,000 sq ft which may also include an indigenous community centre, library (Oshawa Public Library), a new branch of the Oshawa Senior Community Centre (OSCC) for a 55+ seniors centre, an indoor pool with slide, a gym + fitness and yoga centre and sports fields. TIMELINE: Owner is no longer proceeding with this project. Coverage of this report has been discontinued. *Current total cost of construction has been estimated as approx. 169 million (149 million for the building / site and 20 million for soft costs)
