Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Hayesville, Ohio. Completed plans call for the construction of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
The project is to be awarded to the lowest and best bid of a single-prime general contractor. The work will consist of construction of a new maintenance building. All Requests for Information (RFI) must be emailed to the Chief Steve Young, Hayesville Fire Department stephenwyoung73@gmail.com or by mail to Hayesville Fire Department, PO Box 242, Hayesville, OH 44838. The RFI form is included with the bid specifications. All bids must be signed and submitted on copies or originals of the bid submission forms provided with the bid specifications. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates for Public Improvements in Ashland County and the Hayesville Fire Department, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Industrial Relations. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the project. Contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 are required. The successful bidder will be required to submit an executed affidavit pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 5719.042 affirming that the bidder was not charged with any delinquent personal property taxes in Ashland County, Ohio.The Hayesville Fire Department reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and/or irregularities, and/or to accept any bid which is deemed most favorable to the Hayesville Fire Department. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids.
