Project was awraded to Trumbull Corporation in the amount of $87,853,113.20. Replacement of Bridges NB-610 and NB-611 between Milepost A-87.67 and Milepost A-89.72 in Carbon County This project provides for the replacement of the existing NB-610 bridge, which consists of a three-span deck truss bridge with a deck I-beam approach span at both ends over Mud Run, with a new steel deckarch bridge. The project also provides for the replacement of the NB-611 mainline bridge over SR-534, which consists of a 3-span continuous steel girder structure, with a single-span steel girder structure. The project also involves re-aligning and constructing of the approach roadway to the east and maintaining traffic on the existing structure during construction of the new bridge. Milepost A-87.67 is located approximately 2.4 miles North of the 903 Interchange, Exit 87, and Milepost A-89.75 is located approximately 4.5 miles North of the 903 Interchange, Exit 87 in Carbon County, Pennsylvania. An electronic bid bond, from an approved vendor, with corporate surety, in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid must be submitted with the proposal as bid security. The bid security of the three (3) low bidders will be retained until the execution of the contract. (The normal time for execution of the contract is approximately four [4] weeks.) A Prequalification Certification and Applicable Capacity Rating assigned by the Prequalification Office of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is a necessary prerequisite for bidding on this project.
