New construction of a municipal facility in Fredericton, New Brunswick. Completed plans call for the construction of a 119,000-square-foot, six-story above grade municipal facility.
Construction of a new provincial courthouse on King Street, between Regent Street and Carleton Street. Scope of work to include: a detention area; sheriff offices; lobby and security screening area; 10 courtrooms for the provincial courts, the Court of Queen's Bench and the Court of Appeal; two hearing rooms; a police office; judges' accommodations; offices of the registrar of the Court of Appeal; a barristers library and suite; probation services; and spaces for victim services, legal aid, family crown services, court client services and Crown prosecutions. TIMELINE: Construction management tender was awarded to Bird Construction January 2024.
