The city of burbank water and power (bwp) is requesting proposals from experienced and responsible consultants (firms) to provide water advanced metering infrastructure planning, specification writing, and project management services Direct bidder contact with bwp staff regarding this rfp will not be accepted, and could subject the bidder to disqualification. All questions must be submitted electronically no later than 4:00 P.M. On Friday, July 16, 2021. You must be logged in as a vendor to submit a question. Submitted proposals may be rejected if they do not conform to required requirements or are incomplete or inapplicable. However, bwp reserves the right to waive irregularities. Bwp also reserves the right to reject all proposals and shall not be liable for any expenses or costs incurred by consultants in preparing their proposals. Bid Valid 120 CONSECUTIVE CALENDAR DAYS The system included ten (10) collectors with backhaul via Tropos radio and cityowned fiber optics to the IT Data Center where on-premise servers ran Itron software. The Itron SaveSource hardware connected to the water meter is known as a 200W endpoint. The endpoints and collectors broadcast on a fixed, licensed frequency. BWP obtained several radio licenses from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to operate these radio systems and maintain these licenses today. The ten (10) collectors were installed by BWP's electrical division staff at various locations throughout the City and were able to communicate with the endpoints almost everywhere in the City. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
